Tiffany L. Mayers, LCSW

New Jersey State Director

Tiffany L. Mayers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience working with children and families throughout the State of New Jersey in various roles, including in-home services, private practice setting clinical work, government offices, and a number of non-profit organizations.  In her role as a NJ State Government employee, she worked in the areas of event planning, government policies, open public records laws, as well as marketing and communication of redevelopment projects in NJ’s urban municipalities. 

 

In her clinical role, she works specifically with children ages 3-18 years old, in addition to young adults, coping with emotional and behavioral challenges.  In addition to her employment commitments, she currently serves as the Vice President of the Family Support Organization of Union County (FSO-UC) Board of Directors, the Central Regional Coordinator for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI NJ) African American Multicultural Program (AACT-NOW), a Board Member for the Middlesex County Mental Health Board, an Ethics Committee Member for the National Association of Social Workers- NJ Chapter, and a Council Member of the Rutgers School of Social Work Alumni Council.  Additionally, Tiffany previously served for over six years on the Alumni Board of Directors of her alma mater, Seton Hall University, and she earned her Master’s in Social Work at Rutgers University School of Social Work. Tiffany is the owner of Mental Health T Enterprises, LLC, and also has a social media persona, @MentalHealthT, where she continues the conversation about mental health in effort to lessen the stigma on mental illness, particularly within the African American/Black community.
